Hello Everyone,
In the next 2 weeks we will finish the last chapters that need to be covered before the year is over. There is a lot of information that needs to be studied, so students should be starting now. Don't wait until the last minute!

Science Fair 2013
Hello,
Over 150 students participated in the Ajial Bilingual School Science Fair. Both the boys and girls did an amazing job with their projects. I am proud of all of them. Below you will find some pictures from the Science Fair.

Science Fair Projects
Hello Everyone!
All Students from Grades 6 - 10 are expected to complete a Science Fair Project. The Gr 6-10 BOYS Science Fair is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9. The Gr 6-10 GIRLS Science Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, April 10. Please keep these dates in mind and don't get mixed up with which day is for you.
By now, everyone should have a good idea of what their project will consist of. Make sure you include a detailed poster with information/pictures that will help you explain your project to the judges.
The Science Fair Project will be graded and included in the Quarter 4 Report Cards.
Be Creative! Can't wait to see your projects! Good Luck!

Happy Thursday!
Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to write a short message to update you all on what we are doing in Science Class.
On Sunday, Grade 7A and 7B will have a Chapter Test! It will be Chapter 5: Plant Processes (All Sections) Please make sure to study for the test.
Grade 6 Students will continue with Chapter 2: Rocks this week.
All the students enjoyed the Labs that we did last week. I hope to be able to do some more Labs with them by the end of the year. I will upload pics of the students working hard in the Lab.

Flower Dissection Lab
Attention Grade 7 Students!!
Next week we will be doing the 'Flower Structures' Lab. I have already discussed with you the details of the lab. The only thing you need to remember is to bring in at least 2 types of fresh flowers next week.
Types of flowers needed: Tulip, Lily, Azalea, Morning Glory, Evening Primrose, SnapDragon and Gladiolus
Grade 7A Boys - Lab on Monday
Grade 7B Girls - Lab on Sunday

March Madness
Hello Everyone!
Hope you all had a wonderful winter break........I've missed all of my students and can't wait to see you.
We return back to school tomorrow and I just wanted to remind you all that we will be working very hard in March to make sure we complete all of our science curriculum. Grade 6 students will be getting new textbooks because we are starting a new unit, Earth Science. Grade 7 students already have their new textbooks so we will continue with the lessons we started before the break.

Winter Break
This Friday we will be starting our Winter Break. We will back to school on March 3. I hope everyone enjoys their time off.
When we come back, we will continue with our lessons. The students will be getting information on the Science Fair that is coming up in April. So it's a good idea to start thinking about fun projects now.

MAP Testing/Parent Teacher Conferences
Hello Everyone!
Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. On Sunday, we will be starting up again with regular lessons. The MS/HS students are scheduled for MAP Testing. These online computer tests will be taken during various times through out the week.
For Science, we will be starting with all new lessons for both Grade 6 and 7. Report cards will be going home on Wednesday, February 6. And Parent Conferences are on Thursday, February 7.
Parents can sign up in the Reception Area with the sign up sheets.

This week, all MS/HS students will be taking MIDTERM Exams. Please remember that the exams are scheduled from 8-10 am, and students should be picked up by 10 am. Parents, make sure that your children rest and prepare themselves for the following day.
If there are any questions or concerns, please feel free to come and ask the teacher. Do not wait until the last minute to study.

MIDTERMS
This week we will be working very hard to finish the sections that will be included on the Midterm Exam. For Grade 6, we will be doing 2 new sections this week, so please come to class prepared. Make sure to bring your book and notes.
